Established in 1974, K&S started out as a U.S. representative for European manufacturers supplying equipment to the North American power industry. Then, in 1983, K&S decided to capitalize on a flourishing nuclear industry by producing American-made, custom-engineered wet blasting systems for nuclear power plants to use in decontamination processes. In 1986, K&S began building wet blasting machines and systems for industrial applications, using the principles employed in the decontamination operations. Since then, the K&S high-volume water-based blasting process has become recognized as an excellent alternative to traditional dry blast cleaning and vibratory finishing methods.
